Oh yeah, I’ve been on top of a mountain with no internet access. What have YOU been doing the last few days?

I’ve been at my new job, and I haven’t got my username and password yet so I’ve had no internet access either. Turns out, there are other things I can be doing besides checking Facebook eight times a day.

I’ve either been in rehearsals of our all school production of”Beauty and the Beast” or doing training runs for my upcoming marathon. I still can’t believe I actually ran 18 miles on Monday! This is our production week at school and opening night is tomorrow. I’m in charge of getting the “napkin rings” on stage. They are the TK/K kids and so damn cute!

Hit a deer last week so I have been having loads of fun with insurance companies, appraisers, rental car companies, towing companies and the car dealership. We had a bad ice storm which cancelled school for two days. Many people were without power so I hosted friends overnight for that time. Now when school is finally back in today, my daughter threw up all night. Did I mention that my husband flew out today for a pleasure trip that will have him gone through Sunday? Good times, good times!

@caroline. I am so envious! My favorite trip was to the Galapagos Islands. Went in 1999 and want to go back soon.
As for my last few days, plugging away at the grind and looking forward to my kids’ spring break that starts next Fri. Orlando (warm weather and Harry Potter, here we come!!).

In the past week, I’ve given up a Blackberry and PC and taken the plunge with an iPhone 4 and a Macbook Pro. I need someone to tell me how to use the damn things. So far, I’m loving the internet access for the phone and Angry Birds. And loving the speed of the Macbook Pro.

Been working like a dog at the Insurance Job. Given new responsibilities and projects and I HATE it! Worked over the holiday weekend. Been whining about it all to my husband – his response is that in this economy, I should be glad to have this job. Whatev. I hate “new challenges” and having to work hard and concentrate on things and figure out all this insurance crap all by myself. Apparently, my Default setting is LAZY.
Only bright side is that I can still work from home and spend time with my border collie. I hug on him when I am overwhelmed and he makes me feel better.

I don’t get withdrawal, but I certainly feel the responsibility of “staying a part of the world” and “answering important emails” building up the longer I go without it.
